FIRST DAY OF THE D C PSYCHOLOGY TRAINER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, LONAVALA

A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
It was indeed one of the most exciting days of my life, today at last the curiosity was over, as suddenly at 9.20 am when the conference room was open, I automatically got in to high spirits to saw the leadership guru Mr. Arthur F Carmaazi entering the room. I got extremely energized to see the man standing next to me, whom I have always seen in pictures and videos and suddenly a proud feeling arose in my heart of being a part of such an International Program by such a dignified international personality.
A core professional and a workaholic by nature, as we already heard about him didn’t wasted time and started interaction and with a very simple example of “ How our Environment Affects You and How you reciprocate to it “ which has a very deep impact on the success of an individual. It reminded me of the Newton’s law “to every action there is equal and opposite reaction”. But there the reaction to statements and situation in day to day life will not only affect me but also the groups like my friends, family, colleagues etc attached to me. It also reminds me of the famous quote by: W. Clement Stone “You are a product of your environment. So choose the environment that will best develop you toward your objective. Analyze your life in terms of its environment. Are the things around you helping you toward success - or are they holding you back?
Then the next part was a short story which touches various positive and negative aspects of life was not an ordinary story it’s the story of How DC Psychology came in to existence by Arthur. It shares the information how after becoming overconfident about the success which he got in the previous organization, he started his own organization and within no time came under the massive debt. And to pay the debt he choose to do job again, and in his new job he soon got frustrated with the thoughts like why everybody is blaming each other, no cooperation, no team work, everybody want to be successful but suffering from attitude problem. He then decided to research on why is it happening and his genuine efforts gave the fruit to the world which is known as DC Psychology.
He then made the whole group to write what are the objectives, the overall expectations from the program and the skill set we want to achieve after this program and also how it will be going to affect our work, carrier, family and life. After writing all the positive expectations now I was given an animated and researched chart of “World Of Work” where we have 5 continents which were the representation of the how we experience various problematic situation during meetings, when we are alone, when working in team, communication and fulfillment. And with the passage of time as the course progress we will be able to get the solution to those problems in the DC Psychology way.
Then he discussed about the 4 INSANITIES which are like a blockage in our mind which stop us intentionally or unintentionally in making a right decision at right time with right knowledge and understanding.
The one of the amazing concept which really makes a very impact in my life is RAS, and to strengthen the concept, there was a beautiful story of confession of a stupid kid, which gave more clarification on the RAS concept, which ultimately strengthen the belief that unless something become important for me, I don’t notice that in surrounding.
The Arthur made us realize a very blunder mistake which we often do but has never thought of the consequences of that and i.e “Focusing on process and not on objective, instead if people who tend to always focus on the objectives are proven successful leaders like Mahatma Gandhi. So more focus on objective will give us quicker and effective solutions, ignoring our favorite savior i.e the Blame Game (Falling Intelligently is much more effective than blaming).
It was further explained by Arthur, the difference in dealing a situation like The Lizard’s Way or the The Hero’s Way, which reminded me of the comeback in life of various dignified people like Amitabh Bachan, Sachin Tendulkar, Dhiru Bhai Ambani, who are really examples of the fact that unless the problem is big you will not be able to go Hero’s way.
Arthur also gave a clear picture of concepts like Time Management and the RAS, Encoded Assumptions and Rules of Engagement, Personal Effectiveness and How to act intelligently, Matching human reactions which were originated from our reptilian part of mind.
And lastly it ended with a beautiful concept which has the solution to all most all the problems which we generally face, i.e. Circle of Tolerance which has the ability to intelligently reason and action or act intelligently. So bigger the circle of tolerance more we will act intelligently and we will find the solutions to maximum problem by our own selves.
I am very excited as there is a lot to gain in the coming 9 days.
 Signing Off….
